Rodzinny Ogród Działkowy "Irys" w Rudzie Śląskiej-Wirku. Akcja rozgrywa się kilkaset metrów od wydarzeń opisanych poprzednio na tych łamach.

Family Allotment Garden (in Polish abbreviated as ROD) "Irys", Ruda Śląska-Wirek. These predominantly workers' gardens are usually a remnant of the socialist past, when they were one of the few acceptted forms of (quasi) private ownership of land, but even today most of them thrive. The story takes us to a location just a few hundred meters away from the one described previously.

Halemba

KWK Halemba - jedna z największych kopalń na terenie Rudy Śląskiej, a za sprawą kilku tragicznych katastrof chyba najlepiej znana kopalnia w Polsce. Jednocześnie posiadacz najzasobniejszych złóż węgla w kraju, a przy okazji od ponad pół wieku oś życia tej części świata - w tym niektórych członków mojej rodziny.

KWK Halemba (Halemba Coal Mine) - one of the biggest in Ruda Śląska, and, thanks to some tragic mining disasters, possibly the most notorious mine in Poland. At the same time it holds the largest coal deposit in the country and for more than half a century acts as a spinal cord of life of this part of the world - including some of my relatives.

torcida

Torcida, a word originating from Brazilian Portugese, is an organized group of football fans who get together for purposes ranging from concerting support at the stadium to fighting with other teams' hools. Ruda Śląska is a city divided into zones supporting either Ruch Chorzów or Górnik Zabrze, two major Silesian teams. The most important way of indicating the territory are graffiti tags.

Torcida (słowo wywodzące się z brazylijskiego portugalskiego) to grupa kibiców organizująca się w celach  obejmujących działalność od stadionowego dopingu po ustawki z fanami rywali. Ruda Śląska jest podzielona na rejony kibicujące Ruchowi Chorzów albo Górnikowi Zabrze, a głównym sposobem oznaczania terytorium są malowane na murach tagi.
